"Dr. Pomp is a gifted surgeon and practicioner. From our initial meeting at the beginning of my process to the moment I left the hospital, I felt as treated with respect, care and great professionalism. He is friendly, open and accessible, will give his honest opinion, and do so with sincerity and care.
Dr. Pomp and his intern spent a great deal of time with me and my husband in my pre-op appointments, patiently answering questions. He was able to help me effectively decide which surgery was best for me personally, and build my confidence that I had made the correct choice.
The office staff is very busy and handles a lot of caseloads, but they are unfailingly polite and kind. My insurance was managed by one staff member, my pre-op work by a different staff member, and I saw an on-staff nutritionist twice prior to my surgery as well. The office is beautiful, and the whole package adds up to a great feeling of respect.
In the hospital, Dr. Pomp came to visit me daily and was helpful and comforting about my progress. After I left, I sent him an email to thank him, and he responded right away.
The after care has also been very good. The staff provides patients with a packet of materials that list instructions for medications and supplements, menu choices, recommendations for eating, and more. They are available any time for questions by email or by phone, as well. I also received a lovely phone call from my nutritionist after the surgery to wish me well and find out how I was doing.
