 I had my bypass surgery on Tuesday, July 6th and was discharged just 48 hours later! Dr Pohl repaired a large hiatial hernia I had for many years, removed my gallbladder and did the bypass, too! I was in my room within an hour of surgery and walking the halls a few hours later. Minimal pain in my belly and no pain meds other than anti inflammatory injections they give. I was able to tolerate the breakfast and lunch protein shakes on Thursday and so I was discharged and went home at 3PM! I am feeling great, no pain, tolerating the shakes, drinking water, etc. I am a bit tired but that is the only complaint! I am happy and on my way to being very sassy at 60 in September!
