My story is like that of so many of you already. I was a very active child, However the easy junk food and the trips to MC Donald's and the other fast food places along with slowly not being as active as before. It seems the weight continued to mount as the weeks went by. After my first child was born I was 27 years old and the mere thought of going to a gym was painful. As the weight gain continued so did my health problems ......hypertension, rheumatoid arthritis, and the on going threat of type 2 diabetes, and heart disease. My children and my family are in the fore front of this journey with me. If truth be told.....If I was only doing this for myself, I would have settled for fat long ago and learned to deal with it. This I have to do to stay alive and to keep my family alive. I refuse to let my children in years to come be in this same position. If anything I will teach them a healthier way of life, that is my obligation as their parent.
