It's been awhile since I have posted........so here goes.
Life is certainly changing as a result of the changes in me. before the surgery I wasn't really a girlie, girl; However I am finding myself so much more interested in the way I look now.(because I already knew that I was beautiful on the inside, now I'm starting to feel beautiful on the outside as well, (beautiful and sexy) Wow did I actually say the S word.It is flattering to hear it from not only my husband ; but from others.(But I only have eyes for the man who has been with me thru thick, thicker, thickest and now thru thinning.) I am truly thankful that God put my husband in my life and continues to bless our marriage and our family.Even before the surgery, My husband would tell me how good and sexy I looked. I just didn't believe it until I started seeing it myself. I am still a work in progress and contiue to solicit the prayers and good wishes of my family and the family here @ OH. you guys have been there with encouragemnent as well.

Hi OH family,
            Just thought I would drop a line to update my journey. had my 4 month check on Tuesday and weighed in at 220 LBS. That is 77 LBS down from when I made the initial call to inquire about having Gastric Surgery. (297LBS). My mission this weekend is to try on a size 16 jeans. My size 18's are big and I have actually lost a shoe size.(who-knew)??? I am on a mission :my eldest son will be graduating from High school the end of  May and he has had a fat mother for everyone one of his school years. NOT THIS YEAR, I WILL NOT BE THE FAT PARENT IN THE GRADUATION PICTURES!!!!! Keep me in your thoughts and prayers and wish me luck. Thanks OH Family for all your support.

I had my 6wk visit w/ surgeon and am amazed that since the surgery I have lost 30 pounds for a total of 50 whopping pounds. I am sooooooooooo excited. I had not weighed myself since the 1 wk follow up . I am pleasantly surprised. Bally's here I come. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers for continued success. Thanks OH Family.

WELL TODAY MY WONDERFUL SISTER; WHO HAS BEEN EXTREMELY SUPPORTIVE THROUGH THIS JOURNEY; WENT SHOPPING AT ONE OF MY FAVORITE STORES FOR PLUS SIZES STILL "ASHLEY STEWART". PRE-OP AT MY HIGHEST WEIGHT OF 304, I WAS FITTING INTO A 30/32. I WILL BE 5 WEEKS OUT ON THIS COMING MONDAY, AND TODAY I PURCHASED A SIZE 20 BLOUSE AND A SIZE 22 SKIRT. SHE WAS SO VERY EXCITED, AND I JUST KEEP LOOKING AT THE TAG, SAYING "I CAN'T BELIEVE I ACTUALLY BOUGHT THESE SIZES. BEFORE MY WLS I NEVER TRIED ON CLOTHES IN THE STORES, INSTEAD I WOULD PURCHASE THE CLOTHES AND THEN TRY THEM ON AT HOME. MY HUSBAND WAS VERY EXCITED AS WELL. I THINK I COULD'VE EVEN TRIED ON AN 18, BUT I REALLY DIDN'T WANT TO DISAPPOINTMENT MYSELF IF IT WAS TOO TIGHT. IF THAT MAKES ANY SENSE TO ANYONE BUT ME. I NEED TO LEARN HOW TO ACCEPT THE LOSS AND GO WITH THE FLOW. MAKE MY EYES BELIEVE WHAT MY BODY IS DOING. DID ANYONE ELSE HAVE TROUBLE WITH THESE HEAD GAMES?

Well friends,
            Had my first post-op visit yesterday.(8 days out). Very proud to announce that I have lost 13 pounds since the surgery on the 24th of November. Pushing myself to get in 4 shakes a day; However getting in my liquids are no problem. I am actually surprised that I feel as good as I do, after reading all the postings before I had my surgery. I am excited about where  this journey will take me. I am on my way Gang!!!

Hi Friends,        Well I am 5 days out  and I can honestly  say that I feel good. The RX. for pain meds that I was given still goes yet unfilled. Granted I had to stay in the hospital an extra day due to nausea when I tried drinking water; however I am on my protein shakes and my 10 cal or less liquids and I am actually surprised at how good I feel. Well my first post op appt. is Tuesday Dec. 2nd.Continue to keep me in your prayers.

CANNOT BELIEVE IT IS FINALLY HERE, THE DAY MY LIFE WILL CHANGE FOREVER, AND I WILL NEVER BE THE SAME. LOOK OUT WORLD HERE I COME, HOPE YOU ARE READY FOR ME! WILL POST AFTER SURGERY......HOPEFULLY WILL BE UP FOR POSTING .

Hi all
         I have 4 days and counting and I am so excited I can't stand it. Been really busy trying to get everything done before My Monday surgery. Think hubby is starting to get nervous. I am trying to reassure him that everything will be fine.While handling last minute details. Trying not to show the family how nervous I am. Keep me in your prayers.

Hi Everyone,   It is exactly two weeks until my life changing surgery. As strange as it may seem; I fing myself making a list of all my favorite foods that I need to taste before the 24th of Nov. My husband has planned an all out assult for Thanksgiving of all the things I will have to bury and may not be able to ressurrect ever again. I feel like I need to sow some wild oats(literally) before the big day. Crab cakes and double Chocolate Icecream are at the top of my list. Should I or Shouldn't I? Help!!!!!!

OMG,
         I finally after the battery of test and consultations; the actual beginning of my new life and lifestyle is in sight. I received my surgery date yesterday. Nov. 24th 2008 is the day. I am both anxious and excited at the same time. Was planning a big and I do mean BIG blow-out Thanksgiving Dinner, However that will be the last day of my Juice party, right before the protein shakes and 48 ounces of liquid begin. looking forward to it. Pray much for me and my family on this journey. Talk to you soon. drop me a line and let me know how you guys made out.
