One of my very best friends is a proud sponsor of WLS, her success and my need to start a fresh, as well as my family's history with heart disease has prompted me to finally look into having weigh loss surgery.  All if my Adult life i've battled with weight.  I lost my only sister at the age of 40 to a massive heart attack.  I am a divorced Mom of one young man who officially became a teenager Jan 12.  The love of my life and I am raising my 17 year old niece, who's mom was my sister the other love of my life.  I am very new to this, and I am both excited and overwhelmed by the prospect of such a great change.  I know I have quiet a while to go but with love and support I'm looking forward to the task.  I welcome any and all, suggestions, advice, and certainly friendships.

I had my first real consult with the Surgeon, it went very well and I left the office excited.  Although I was informed that it may takes weeks before I get a response from the Insurance company the very next day I was emailing the Nurse and asking question as well as had she heard anything.  She must have thought I was a mental patient. LOL about a week after my consult I got a letter for the Insurance company stating they needed additional information.  In a panic I called the Surgeons office and the Nurse advised me that she had received the letter too and had sent the additional information.    For a minute I thought I was gonna end up on a new episode of the show snapped.  How I am gonna be able to wait for 3 or4 weeks for a response is beyond me.

I received two letters one from my Insurance provider, the other from the surgeons office.  I got home went into my bedroom sat on my bed and opened the letter from the insurance company.  I must have read the letter 20 times saying you have been APPROVED for gastric surgery.  I called my best friend and told her and burst into tears.  I could not believe I had been approved!  I was expecting to jump through all kinds of hoops.  The letter from the surgeons office told me I was approved and to call to schedule my date.  I just could not believe this was really going to happen.

Today I called the Surgeon's office to schedule my appointment.  It's as if the Nurse was waiting for me she called me right back saying the next schedule date available is MARCH 27th I think I told her yes before she could even finish the statement.  I can't even express how I feel or how excited I am.  I have so much running through my head I can't stand it.

I'm sure the closer I get to my date the more Manic I'll become.  Til next time peace.
