It has been almost three months I have lost 45 pounds and I am feeling much better. Oh I still hurt when it rains or a storm rolls in but I'm not walking with a cane and I am able to get some gardening in. Eating is another matter though. I still lose over half the real meals I try to consume.The pouch is very picky. I don't really mind though I did want to lose weight and this my way of doing it. Easy no it is not easier but it requires little self control at this point. The pouch is in control of self Would I do it again even knowing how this would be? YOU BET!
Tommorow it has been one week since the surgery. I'm feeling fine been up and going since I got home. I need to get the staples removed tommorow and have the drain tube taken out. I'll be glad to get rid of staples they are itching and the drain is rubing against them. I notice my skin is sagging on my face and that could be dehydration or age. They both are common at this time of life. Maybe I should save my change for the face lift? Well there is bound to be more after the visit with the DR.tommorrow.
Tuesday Febuary 13th,2007
WEll the first week is up and I have started on week 2 of the liquid flush out. I love vegetable broth and beef broth and cestial seasons teas. I've died my hair polished my nails read three books, and caught up on the heavy work . Cooked beans and corn bread with out eating them.Made steak and potatoes for my husband watched him eat while I popped gum, he hates that. I shall survive.

Day 6 liquid diet I guess I could whinne and complain but it has not been as bad as I thought it would be but then I'm not quite half way there yet either. Let it be know that yesterday I brought popeyes chicken for the family and I ate chicken broth,went out shopping with the girls and stopped at Arbys I had a cup of Aju. Went to wal-mart came homewith a pizza for them and broth forme. They drank wine I drank tropical flavored sugar free water. Wylers I think. I have inner strength I did not know I had maybe it is the vitiamin B drops I'm taking?

It is day 4 of the liquid diet andI am surviving. I have shampooed two chairs with the little green machine. Painted one kitchen chair and a stool cleaned out a cabinet. I have my ironing board up and ready to go. I have sugar free hard candies to suck on, water to drink ,three kinds of teas (herbal),juice to dillute, Atkins in 4 flavors, soup in two.
I plan on getting my hair done today. Going to the libary to stock up on books. Just trying to keep busy and my mind off things I should not think about. I manage the days but the evenings are the worse.

I start the liquid diet tommorrow. I have devoured all the food I can and I have hot water already seeping for the teas, broth soups and what ever else requires it. I've put the mixer away gotten out the blender cleaned off the counter of sugar &flour replaced it with splenda and diet hot chocolate, chicken and beef boullion. Bottles of water are chilling and crystal lite is waiting to be mixed with it. Mentaly I've done just about all I can do. I know it will take prayers everyday but then I need those anyway. For me this is like getting ready to take the plunge into Ice water that the polar bear club does every year. I know I'll survive but lets just get this over.
January 30,2007 I went to the nutrition meeting and met Dr. Richardson. Already I have a date the 20 th of the month. On the 6th I start my liquid diet. This is to shrink the liver. So between then and now I intend to have a several fairwell lunches. Starting tomorrow I plan a cup of lobster bisque /1/2 ham sandwich and almond cheese cake all from Josephines a local tea house. This is a fairwell to cheesecake.
January 22nd 2007: Have an appointment for the 30th with Dr. Richardson. This is kind of sureal. Is this real or am I just dreaming?

I had to make a run to Jerseyville today to get a TSH test done& I had to get op notes as well as other DR.'s papers faxed over.
January 2nd 2007: all my papers have reached New Start. I have to wait now for them to be reviewed and for my Primary insurance to reject me. The surgery isand exclusion sothey will deny me. Medicare will then pick up the surgery.
