Not feeling too good right now.  Really sluggish.  See my chiropractor NEXT Monday.  She is a licensed nutritionist and a natural medicine practitioner.  I represent a challenge to them as I can't take all the pills and things that a normal stomached person can....too much fluid needed at one time to get them to move without causing blockage.  They are going to see about getting em cleaned out...detoxed....but they have to come up with either chewables or liquid forms.  Hope a good cleaning out will make me feel better.

I have been so bummed about this second consult.  This guy smiled all the time, but didn't ahve anything encouraging to say.  He told me that my arms would do me good, to the tune of about $5000, a TT would cover part of the lower body lift, the left would be about $10,000, and he doens't believe in the effectiveness of liposuction.  I am waiting to hear from my insurance if they will cover the liposuction or not and then I will be going with the first doctor.

Had my first plastic surgery consult yesterday.  He was nice.  He said that the arms were a done thing....take off the excess skin and fat, incision goes down to the arm pit.  The thighs were another thing.  He said it is better to do liposuction first then after all that swelling goes down.....he said WEEKS....if the skin hadn't rebounded then remove it.  Guess I call the other one this morning and make an appointment to see him and see what he says.  Have to save up time to take off for surgery so I guess getting opinions and consults is a good thing.

I had my surgery March 9, 2005.  I was apprehensive as I had NEVER been a patient, just taken care of them post-op.  Surgery went well, except that anesthesia didn't listen to me when I told them that they might have to uncover my feet to wake me up.  Apparently I wouldn't wake and they went out and told my family...dad and 3 of my siblings.  The one I live with then asked if they had uncovered my feet to make them cold and he said that they keep patients WARM in PACU and she told them that they would be keeping me there forever if they didn't make my feet cold to wake me up.  Thirty minutes later I was in my room lol.
As of the 30th of Sept, 2006 I am down an amazing 131 pounds with about 58 to go to get to MY goal of 170ish.  My PCP the other day gave me a referal to 2 plastic surgeons....have an appointment with the first one on Oct 24th!  After I hear what he has to say I will call the other one for a second opinion.  Have heard many stories about how long one should wait after loosing weight before doing the plastic thing, but will ask them to see what they say/recommend.  I am just over 19 months post-op and have a lot of saggy elephant skin on my thighs and of course the bat-wing thing going on.
