I may not have started out fat, but my mom told me that she gained 75 pounds during my pregnancy.  My early years I was chubby, but always very active.  In Elementary School, I was usually the tallest - and fattest - in my grade/class.  By Junior High I was trying hard not to be the fat kid who always got picked on, so I started to diet hard.  By High School I thought I figured "it" out, but I still was nowhere near the size of other girls... I actually Lettered in Sports, but my Gym Teacher threatened to flunk me because I did not want to post my weight -- 5' 7" 160 pounds.  By College, I rode my bike everywhere.  I did not drive, so that is how I got around.  When I met my (now Ex) husband I was just over 200 pounds, but still very active.  I joke, because I did not have a Drivers License until meeting him, and that was when my weight ballooned.  After two pregnancies, I lost weight up until the eighth month - but gained weight after having my daughters & nursing (?!).  By my mid 20's I had finally hit 300 pounds.  When I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism in 1997, I finally crested 400 pounds.  I took drastic action - Medically Supervised Fasting in 1998.  Within seven months, I lost 135 pounds, soon after that - another 200 pounds, I got divorced (the 200 pounds was the ex husband - if you didn't figure it out!).  In 2003 I injured myself badly.  My Achilles Tendon on my left side ruptured, I became disabled & started gaining back every pound I had lost.  In 2004 I was approved for Gastric Bypass, but because my mother had terminal cancer, I decided to put my surgery on hold.  Fast forward to 2007, I ended up in the hospital 13 days - due to Gall Bladder & Bile Duct issues, I was back over 400 pounds.  Spring of 2009, I started to look into Gastric Bypass, again.  Car accident on April 20, 2009 put my plans on hold - again.   February 2010, I went to WLS Seminar, and start my process.  It took more work then I imagined, but had surgery November 16, 2010.  Read my blog for the REST of the story!
