Third day in the hospital

This is no fun.  I've had extreme pain down the right side of my back, since I awoke from surgery.  The pain meds didn't do a thing for it, so I asked the doc the first time he came around what it was.  He said it was probably a gas bubble in my back.  Oh yeah.  One of the techs tried to help me by putting a scalding hot folded blanket on my back, which immediately burned me.  I have blisters to prove it.  Everyone was terribly sorry.

This is more pain than anyone had told me it would be.  I don't know if I would've done this had I known just how painful it was.  Getting up from the bed is the worst.  I feel like I've been doing a trillion crunches.  My stomach and abdomen really hurt.

Well, I'm going back to my room now.  I was just on a short walk trying to relieve some of this gas pain.  I'll write some more when I've got time.
