Brooke B.
3 Month Surgiversary
Mar 11, 2009
It's been a little over 3 months and I am doing great. I have been losing steadily and I assume staying healthy. I have lost a total of 69 pounds. It's so funny because if you tell me you have lost 69 pounds it sounds like so much more weight than when I say it.I am now shopping in regular sized clothes. The weather here in Georgia is getting warmer so I had to go shopping for shorts (since last years have all been given away). I found the cutest skirt in an 18 and thought I would try it on. IT WAS TOO BIG. Of course they didnt have a 16. But I was just happy to finally have something be too big. Now of course that was a one time thing because the shorts I bought were 18's and fit perfect.
I had been fat for about 10 years. For the first time I am looking forward to swimming and going to the beach. I have even planned a Girls (and our kids) weekend trip to my mothers beach house. I am usually not a beach person. Hoping that that will change. My only concern is my flabby flesh being mistaken for a jellyish in the ocean.
Oh and a MAJOR NSV. My high school chorus is having a reunion. The attire is a black dress. I was so worried about finding one. I looked all weekend and found one at White House Black Market. On sale for $40 notheless!! Its an XL. I was shocked! The clothes there look so small. I also bought a dress or Easter. It's a 16. I am flipping out.
Well, I guess that's all my milestones for now. I know there are many more to come and I can not wait to share them all with all of you!!
Have a great day and think skinny!
