Trying Again!

It's finally going to happen! After 6 months of trying to get my surgery rescheduled I finally got the official word today. I am scheduled for Monday, October 1st. Just a little over a week away
I had almost given up hope that this would ever happen. After coming within days of the surgery in April only to have it cancelled I really thought I had lost my chance. I am so grateful that I will get my turn after all. My head is spinning, Monday can not get here soon enough.

Surgery cancelled!

April 23rd was to have been the start of my " new life". With just 5 days to go, my surgeon called to let me know he was cancelling the surgery. I've had an ongoing problem with C diff, which I thought had been cleared, but at pretesting they requested a "sample" which lo and behold came back positive!!! Back to medication for that and no surgery for me.
I am so upset and saddened. Everything in my life for months has been planned around this happening. I trained my replacement at work, got my house in order, had supplies ready and most importantly my "head" was ready. I'm still in shock that this gift was taken away from me.
Don't know if I will ever be cleared to reschedule, but I plan on doing everthing I can to try!!
