I had my panni removed and my breast reconstruction done on May 4th.  Pain wasn't bad except razor burns in crease of legs.  I'm unhappy with my breasts.  One is bigger and the other one nipple was sewn crooked.  I know she said there would be a difference but it looks terrible.  Also the larger one has bigger incision.  I just hope in 6 months or so it will look better.  Doubtful.

Only had one problem with jp drains.  One leaked a lot and pulled out some.  First two nights at home was miserable for sleep.  Slept sitting up on love seat which I ended up with swollen feet and legs.  Next night laid proppedon couch feet up but had problems getting up.  I'm beginning to decide not to have thighs done in 4-6 months.

Today is my 2 year anniversary for my VSG.  I've lost 59% of my weight but never made my goal.  I've been bad about my eating habits and been eating to much junk.  I need to get back on track.  On the plus side I'm walking between 1-3 miles plus when I get out on my bicycle I ride between 4-11 miles.  

Hubby bought me a motorcycle but haven't learned to ride it yet.  I failed my first try at motorcycle class because I couldn't balance the bike.  Now on May 4th I'm having a panniculectomy and breast reconstruction.

My 2 year journey was a rough one but worth it.

Well it's been 3 months since surgery and I'm down 56lbs. I'm not doing very well eating. I can only eat about 1-2oz per meal and I have a lot of food intolerance.  Meat is my biggest problem.  I have dizzy spells everyday. To the point I fell and broke my wrist because of them.  I have to see cardiologist for my low heart rate and my blood sugar also drop real low.  Nutritionist wants me to add carbs to my diet now to help with that.  All in all I am still glad I got the surgery.  Just feel bad because I have not been exercising due to dizziness.

So my psych dr informed me I needed new clothes because my pants are too baggy on me. LOL!  So I went out and bought 2 new pairs of jeans.  Course they are stretched jeans but I went from a size 34 to a size 26/28.  I'm so happy!  I also need a new bra but had problems with that because Walmart did not have the size I needed so ended up with a cup to large.  So I look like Madonna with cones boobs. LOL!

So I went to my 2 week post-op appointment yesterday.  Doing good so far.  Lost 19lbs and now starting pureed stage.  Need to increase my water intake and they are going to do ultrasound on my legs just to be safe because legs are tender to touch and swelled.  Plus I had an episode of lightheaded and blurred vision.

So this is technically my first whole day home.  I came home from hospital yesterday evening but slept all night.  I went to my Sabbath today at friends. Still in pain and coughing a lot.  But I managed to get in 60 grams of protein in!! But only 27 oz of fluids. I know not enough but tried.

I had my surgery on 3/19.  Trying to get fluids in and figuring out my stop point.  Don't know how you're supposed to get 64 oz in a day with a tiny tummy. Plus the fact it still hurts down by sphincter when I drink.  My hubby giggles at all the gurgling he hears.  Glad I finally got it done.  Know I just have to worry about when it's to long not have a bowel movement.  I know all we are drinking is liquid but still.

I finally have surgery date for March 19th!!! It has only taken me since Oct of last year to get a date.  Finally my journey can begin.

My pulmonologist released me finally for surgery!!  Now wait for surgeon to give me a date and start my two weeks liquid diet.

I still haven't had my surgery due to pulmonologist still screwing me over. But I see her on Jan 20th so hopefully she will finally release me.
