6 yrs ago I started this journey and i have not looked back with any regrets. I am blessed, alive, healthy and free from obesity in my mind and my body. Food is no longer in control of me.! i just finished my first book and it should be in book stores by the end of april 2007. titled "without medication", and i am writing more!! thanks for the help along the way! (((hugs)))

HI, I AM SHARON'S OLDER SISTER BESSIE, I HAD MY SURGERY JAN 2003, TO THE DATE I HAVE COME FROM 368 TO 250 BUT I LOOK SMALLER, I THINK I LOSE INCHES TO. I FEEL GREAT, I LOOK GREAT MY OLD FRIENDS AND FAMILY DON'T KNOW ME. MOST TIMES I FEEL LIKE I COULD FLY AWAY, I FEEL SO GOOD, I JUST NEVER THOUGHT THE ONLY PROBLEM I WOULD HAVE WOULD BE TRYING TO EAT A MEAL. AND NOT TRYING NEW FOODS AWAY FROM HOME AS THEY SOMETIME MAKE ME SICK. IT TOOK OVER 30 YEARS TO FIND UNDER CLOTHING THAT FITS. AND NOW I HAVE TO START ALL OVER AGAIN. BUT I LOVE THE NEW PERSON I AM, THOU MY STOMACH IS TRULY IN CONTROL AND MY EYES ARE LARGER THAN MY STOMACH, SO I HAVE TO FOOL THE EYE BY USING SMALL PLATES AND GLASSES. SHARON HAD MADE MY PROFIL BUT SOME HOW SHE DELETED IT AND HAS NOT PUT IT BACK ON FOR ME, HOPEFULY SHE WILL DO THIS SOON FOR ME. BECAUSE SHE LOVES HER BIG SISTER, AND I KNOW SHE WILL WHEN SHE GET'S THE TIME. I MUST SAY THIS AND I CLOSE THE I HAD MY SURGERY AFTER I WAS AT SHARON'S HOUSE AND SHE WALKED IN FRONT OF ME AND HER BEHAND WAS SO SMALL, I CALLED MY DR. THE NEXT DAY AND I AM SO GLAD I DID. I WOULD NOT CHANGE A THING. LOVE YOU SIS. WISH ALL SUCCESS. BESSIE W.

Hi Sharon, Congrats on your 1 year anniversary and your great weight loss. It was just a little over 1 year ago you post on my surgery page when I was going to have my surgery. My year has been great with no complications so far and a weight loss of 120lbs. Isn't life grand?

Well I finally made it to my one year mark, I started out a year ago weighing 3oo plus. Today I weight 162lbs! My one year goal was 150lbs, but i am quite happy with the results so far. As I look back over the past year, I am so blessed and grateful just to be alive! God has truly been with me through this wls journey,and i have not only learned a lot of wonderful things, but i have met a lot of wonderful people. You all here are so very precious to me and my thoughts and prayers are always with you all. I keep my page updated so that it may inspire others.You are constantly in the forfront of my mind. If i could say one thing to someone just starting out on this journey it would be that if you presist in your quest, pray daily and seek God for guidance, and never give up,you will come out with the victory! Enjoy the journey, take pictures and document the moments. Along with your prayers that is what gave me strength and kept me going. So i say, Thanks for the memories!
