Four weeks post op (Almost Christmas)

Dec 20, 2009

What a busy month?! I have to say I have never been this busy before. I am glad that I had my surgery in November and didn't wait until this month like I had originally planned.  It is close to Christmas and I am so excited. My sister is coming to town with my baby neice that I have only met once. This will be her first Christmas!

So I have been doing really well. I am surprised at how well I have been doing. I haven't had any issues with food. I have been trying things I probably shouldn't but nothing has come up or made me sick. My tummy has been hurting this morning so I may have overdone it last night at a christmas party but nothing major. (only had different cheeses and a mini quiche) I did get a little jealous as people were drinking last night and I couldn't have anything but water. There were also tons of desserts and nothing sugar free. I am now much more concious of diabetics and other WLS people who cannot have sugar. At work we have a candy dish and I created a seperate one with only sugar free candy. I have been obsessive about finding recipes to bake sugar free cookies and desserts. It isn't that I want to splurge and eat these things all the time but when everyone else is having these things it would be nice to have a cookie with them. At work we are having a white elephant gift exchange and they want everyone to bring cookies and I know no one will even think of sugar free. I never did before. So I purchased some sugar free chocolate chips and have some recipes to try. Time is just running out. We have a christmas party to go to today and my sister comes to town tuesday and I haven't had a chance to clean up or finish decorating. Ugh! Like I said too busy.
