Looking Back

Nov 23, 2006

I did most of my first 3 months of bloging on my Dr. support site, so I wont blog again about how I did recovering. Let's just say it was uneventful and fairly easy. I'm visitin family and friends this week. I brought my pictures from Puerta Vallarta to show them. They have all been going on about my weight loss, that feels nice. I made a very low sugar pumkin pie and brought it. IT is so good. I gave 3 bags of cloths away too yesterday. THAT felt really good!  I'm going shopping today for some new cloths. HURRAY. It will only get better looking for cloths now. I hated cloths shopping being heavy.  Im not going to hit the malls,,just thrift stores. No need to by expencive new cloths, I'll just be out of them soon too. (that sounds so nice to say and KNOW it's true).
Anyway...Looking back,,,I would do this surgery again.  I am really glad I took my son with me. We still talk about the good time we had (for the most part). He,,,was never any problems. We just really hate to fly. Other than the flight, everything was pretty good. It was a good learning experiance for the both of us.
I never had any complications with surgery. It was only rough the first night because I was really sick to my stomach. But they gave me meds. for that.  I'm now 3 months out and am doing great. Lost over 50lb. now. Trying to keep my protein up because I'm loosing too much hair.
I am so happy to have found this support group. This has been the best thing I could have done to get my life jump started again!
