I have been reading a lot lately people posting about being judged and looked down upon for "taking the easy way out". The following is simply my opinion about how to approach that mentality.
When I get my duodenal switch (you may enter your chosen WLS here) I hope I do discover it is the easy way out. If the "correct" way, the hard way is mindlessly dieting and exercising with minimal results and a 95 to 98% failure rate of keeping the weight off then frankly you can stick that up your ass. I've done that for too long. Yeah, give my big-o-fat butt the easy highway cause I've ridden this rutted, potholed and broken boulevard for way too many miles. You can call me a quitter, a weakling, a person with no will power. You can call me Santa Freaking Claus if you want. I will never ever give a rat's ass what you call me. But in 20+ years from now I want you to call me something you would have never been able to call me before weight loss surgery. Call me ALIVE!
