35 Weeks and counting.....

OKay so I know I have been away for awhile....bad girl... Sorry, things have been a little crazy, still working 100% full-time, going to school full-time, had a death in the family and dealing with constant field exercises on the husbands part has he gets ready to deploy......

So enough with the excuses and here's the update:]

I am 35 weeks pregnant and have a small belly, Thank God since with my first pre-op baby I got HUGH and gained almost 60 lbs. I have only gained about 8-10 lbs since I found out I was pregnant which is not a lot, but the baby seems to be growing and doing well.

No really horrible sickness per say, the occasional different time of day sickness...lol, my biggest complain is lack of sleep at night, therefore I'm extermely tired everyday....
Oh my god and as small as I am, my back hurts like hell and I fell a tremendous amount of pressure in my pelvic area......

But all in all its been pretty good......

I will be having a c-section most likely the last week of April....I will keep ya updated!!!!

20 Weeks Pregnant and only gained 5 lbs so far.....

So just like you read in the title I am 20 weeks along and have gained an amazing 5 lbs.....I say amazing because since i found out i was pregnant all i did was lose weight and although that is our ultimate goal for right now my goal is to have a healthy baby and that of course means gaining a healthy amount of weight.

Most of this weight has come from a beautiful month long vacation back in the states, visiting my mom, dad and of course going on an 8 day cruise in the western caribbean. Hopefully now that I'm home i can keep this weight on and keep it at a healthy and steady progress.

My belly just started showing, which is so different from my first pregnancy. For my daughter by the time I was 5 months pregnant I looked like I was 8 months. Now at 5 months people can barely tell which is good. I am still wearing my size 8/10 clothes which is even better....lol

I do get hungry more often but usually snack lightly or try to eat something healthy like fruit, although I won't lie I have had my share of ice cream...lol

So I saw my doctor yesturday and the baby is doing great, growing at the right pace and is getting big. I was worried because i seem to be losing weight instead of gaining, and where that might sound crazy on this site where everyone wants to lose weight, I want my baby to be nice and healthy and if that means putting on a few pounds I am all for it. I am confidant that i will be able to lose it and more once the baby is here.

For those of you wondering how much more weight I lost since getting pregnant, lets see when I found out i was pregnant I was weighing 174 lbs, I am now weighing 169 lbs, So a total of five pounds and I am three months pregnant and trust me when I say i am eating, okay granted i still have limitations since my pouch will only allow but so much, but i eat throughout the day, and if i get hungry i snack on something.

I might gain a pound or so, but within a day or two I lose again so its like I've never gained it to begin with. The doctor is not worried since the baby is growing so wonderfully so neither am I.

I see the doctor again in 3 weeks on the 12th of Nov, the before I leave to the states for three weeks, so I will update again then. Maybe I might be able to let everyone know what this bundle of joy will be.

10 Weeks Pregnant

OKay as promised an update on my pregnancy. I am offically 10 wks pregnant, with a due date of 5 May 2009. As of right now I haven't gained a lb, not a single one, as a matter of fact I have lost an additional 2 lbs since I found out I was pregnant.

At this point the doctors don't seem worried, so I won't worry either. They told me everything is fine and the baby is growing and everything so there is nothing to worry about. They did do extensive blood work on me and I get the results at my next appointment on the 22 of Oct. I will let ya know how they came out.

I don't get morning sickness or anything, but I am extermely tired by 3pm, and I do get really quezzy at night around bedtime which sucks for 2 reasons it puts a damper on things with the hubby and makes it hard to get comfortable and fall asleep. Other than that everything seems to be fine.

I don't think I eat much more than I did before but I do get hungry now like every 4 hours...so I have to have snacks around...don't worry always healthy ones.....LOL

All for nothing!!! or is it??!!!!

Okay so I know I've been lazy on posting, but so much has happened in the last few weeks its all a little crazy.

Okay so I have weathered a lot in the last 3 weeks from my mom having to have a hysterectomy because of cancer (thank god it was caught really early and since the surgery everything looks great and free of cancer), then my husband got orders to deploy last minute to the country Georgia ( thank god again, that was postponed for now) and now I just found out I'm pregnant...talk about pouring when it rains....

Don't get me wrong I am happy and excited, but at the same time I'm a little worried and scared. I am so close to my goal, I mean seriously 29 lbs away so it's a little furstrating to know I came so close and didn't make it. Then there is the fear that I will either gain a lot of weight or won't be able to lose the weight I gain....So yes along with the happiness comes a sucky feeling!!!!

So I'm offically 174 lbs, so I met my personal goal of being 175 lbs when I saw Prof. Weiner on 25 aug 08, so I was really happy about that and since then i lost another pound.

To make one thing clear I was on birth control, I was using the patch which is one patch every week for 3 weeks and the 4th week is patch free (period week). So you change the patch the same day of the week every week, as close to the same time as possible. I usually change it Wednesday nights right before bedtime, last month on my 3rd week I was sick and feel asleep before changing my patch, and didn't change it until thursday morning, Tada!!!! now I'm pregnant....so I guess the lesson to be learned is to extra, extra strict with the birth control and not mess up, not even a little cause apparently losing weight makes us fertile as hell....LOL

As I move along I will keep everyone updated on the ups and downs of getting pregnant after RNY and before being a year out, yup I'm only 8 months out.....

So do i have a right to complain or not??!! I saw 176lbs for about a day, went to Phantasialand with my neighbors and good friends who are leaving this week to live in their house about five hours away as civilians..LOL and I guess from not eating as good as I should I went right back up to 178lbs...whichs SUCKS...My goal for August is to hit 175lbs by the time I see my surgeon on the 25th. Its only three pounds, but it also took me 1 month to see 176 and then it didn't last. My husband said is because I'm still bloated from having my period, but I was over it on Saturday and it is now Wednesday, how could i possibly still be bloated. But whatever I refuse to stress myself to craziness, instead I celebrate that I can now wear size 10. I have about 2-3 pairs shorts in size 10 and they all fit. So I guess sooner than later I will have to say bye to all my size 12's.

Now if only I could say bye to these damn 3 lbs I would be even happier.

I remember the tale about the turtle and hare and the race and how even though the turtle is slow he still wins the race....Well that's how I feel with my weight loss..it is sooooooo SLLLOOOOWWWW!!!!!! I am offically down 74 lbs from my highest weight and now weigh 178 lbs. My size 12 pants are starting to fit me big, and I am between a medium and large in shirts. Still haven't tried the whole bathing suit thing yet, living in Germany kinda saves me that event since right now even in July we are not really getting pool or lake weather...at least not on the weekends when I'm off...LOL

I know the slow progress is my fault as I have been slacking, and haven't been to the gym like I should, but between working full time, going to school practically full time and then of course taking care of my family, it is hard and my time is used up. I do walk as much as I can, and I have plently of stairs to go and down as I live on the fourth floor, plus keeping up with my 3 yr is an exercise in its own right...LOL...but I guess this is just not enough.....I know I have to hit the gym more often I just need more hours in a day for that....LOL

Don't get me wrong I wish the scale said 145lbs ( my first goal, i might decide to go a little lower, but not too much I don't want to be a size 0, just healthy), but seeing 178 isn't so bad either considering almost 7 months ago it used to read 252 lbs...so should I stop being a crabby patty...yeah probably but I just can't help it...

Okay, where to start...first my hair is falling out, I mean my hair has always fallen out some, especially when I washed it (i have curly hair that can get very tangled), but now its just all over the place. When I brush my hair the brush has a clump of hair on it, when I style it, its all over my hands, through out the day I end up with hair on my clothes...so yes its literally FALLING OUT!!!! To think I used to joke around and say since I had so much hair it would help if some would fall out, and now I'm losing my mind because I want it to stop. Prof. Weiner gave me Bioton, lets hope it works...

Next as mention I've seen Professor Weiner for what he called my 3 month follow up, but it really been 4 months and feels everything is going great, did my ultrasound and said everything is wonderful and my liver is 100% normal (no more fatty liver from being over weight), he was happy with my weight loss, even though I think its way too slow. He was also happy because he say I am gain definition in my body and he can now see my ribs when I lay down for the ultrasound (cool!!!!!) Yup, Yup, and I have a collar bone, shouldar blades, hip bones, wrists, and ankles, Oh yeah and skinny fingers all my damn rings are huge and slip right off...wow how would have thought we have so many bones...LOL 

Moving on I have had to offically retire all my size 14 pants, they are way too big, I mean literally everywhere. These are pants my husband just brought me maybe 2 months ago, and already too big, oh well time for somemore shopping...LOL So I am ofically a 12, although I have managed one size 10, and some of my 12's are starting to fit loose. So I am definitely getting there and losing the inches, my goal for myself is a 7/8. I want to be healthy, but also have a little meat on me, I have never, never wanted to be stick thin, I really dont find nothing attractive about being a size 0/2. Not for me anyways, if that makes you happy then go for it. I like having curves, smaller ones, but still have some....LOL

Last this weight is moving so slowing, it makes me want to scream sometimes. Seriously in almost a month I have only lost 5lbs, how sad is that!!! As of today I am offically 186lbs. Prof. Weiner told me since I had less to lose, it will come off slower. I don't want to hear this, I want it gone...like now!!!! But I will take what I get. The gym is going good, basically just trying to tighten up as much as possible for my cruise in November, Carribean here I come!!!! At this point just being almost 70lbs lighter is fine with me, forget the rest whoever doesn't like my skin doesn't have to look!!!! I will be having the time of my life, being able to enjoy so much more than I ever could.....

I know it was a long one, but I had so much I needed to say...sorry I will try to keep it shorter next time.... ;-)





Finally!!!

So I finally found a babysitter and have gotten back to the gym, really excited about that. The young lady is really good, she is a teenager and stays with her in her home, but my little one adores her and loves going over there.

So I go to the gym Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays for about 2 hours a day. I start with cardio, about 20-30 minutes on the treadmil at an 5.0 incline and speed of 3.0-3.2. My asthma is still an issue, but I'm trying to build up my lungs and see if I can start running. 

***Now just as a note the asthma has been a problem probably since birth but wasn't diagnosed until I was 4. So its a health issue, not a weight issue. So I could probably be stick thin and weight 100lbs and I still wouldn't be able to run because of the asthma. Just wanted to clerify that for everyone. I would love to be able to run, it would be so cool since I've always wanted to join the Navy or Army, but I just don't dont know if that could happen.***

Then after cardio my husband works me to death...lol, no not really but it sure feels that way especially by the time i get home and have to walk up a whole bunch of stairs just to get home...LOL We do abs, and lots of weights for the arms and legs. 

Last week was my first week back and I think every muscle group hurt, which felt good cause that means its working, but gee it can make things just a little harder....LOL
