It's a BOY!!!!  We had our 17 wk ultrasound/anatomy scan done this past Monday and were more than ecstatic to learn that we're having a boy!  We've waited six years for this sweet boy and we couldn't feel more blessed...God has made a miracle and a dream come true!  We're naming him Austin Samuel David and he looked GREAT on ultrasound...everything is developing as it should and we're just thrilled!

Time for an update:
I am now 10 weeks pregnant and everything seems to be going fine with myself and my baby.  I had an ultrasound last Monday and saw my baby for the first time and saw his/her heartbeat which brought tears of joy and relief!  After 6 years of trying, infertility, and 2 miscarriages, seeing my baby made it all worth it!  The baby is exactly on target and looks great.
My grandmother passed away this past Saturday and I was very close to her so my heart aches that she is no longer with us, but God allowed some joy when I found out that my baby is to be born on her birthday!  I will be so honored if everything turns out the way it's planned...my c-section is scheduled for June 17th and I pray it will happen on that special day!
I also had my 20 month post op appt with my surgeon and he said I am still doing great and just told me to get with the dieticians to make sure I'm eating enough for the baby and myself.  Yes, I've been through a lot to get to where I am today, but I'd go through the fire all over again just to be the one to witness this miracle happen!  Everything I've done has been for my unborn child and I have no regrets!

My God is SO FAITHFUL!  I went in yesterday to get a CT scan because I have been having some pain in my tummy only to find out I couldn't take the scan because I'm PREGNANT!  We've been through a lot and I am in AWE of how faithful and mighty God is in my life.  He has healed my womb!  I am 4 wks pregnant and due in June of next year!  THANK YOU JESUS for your miracle in my life!

Time for another update.  On the 9th of September I will be 18 months out from surgery and I am still doing GREAT!  I am now hovering between 150-153 lbs with absolutely no complications.  I still eat pretty small portions compared to people with normal stomachs and I still try and stay away from anything white when it comes to food and protein first.  I have become addicted to the "Oh yeah" protein bars especially the cookie caramel crunch ones..they are YUMMY!!

I went on my mission trip to Haiti in July and the trip was AMAZING!!  I was so blessed to be able to go and experience life from a different perspective and again, my weight was not an issue which was a huge deal especially when we had to hike a mountain and other team members who are obese were having a difficult time making the same hike. 

My husband and I are now trying again for baby #3 and realy believing and trusting that the Lord has healed my womb and will bless us with a healthy pregnancy and baby very soon.  All things are possible with Him and I have never been healthier so I am having strong faith that now is our time!! 

Life is good and I still have no regrets about my RNY..it's simply a blessing!!
