Soooo what did I do? I joined weight watchers almost 2 weeks ago and i am glad to report that my scale has moved quite a bit! I don't want to report just yet because the WW scale i weigh in on and my home scale are different. My first weigh in with WW was in the middle of the day with Lot's of clothes on so naturally it was a bit more than my home scale. Tuesday will be the day that I find out.
Also, i took on a part time job as a Server. I've been at it for 5 weeks now and am doing OK. Busting some serious Ass!! I wear my heart monitor on shift and the days i do doubles i burn over 4000 calories.. Yes folks I said 4000. I have been very active for the past 4 to 5 months... So this is why i had a bit of a difficult time with the no weight loss. My diet was not horrible...not at all.. The popcorn every night did not help i know.. But my eating habits have so improved from when i started. I have definitely learned all about patience on this journey and definitely not giving up.. I've hung in there and it seems i may actually reach my goal. I will report back with my weight loss from ww on Tuesday.. Now I must get ready to do a double! (I'm working close to 70 hours this week!)... I also have a sinus infection.. Balance.. I must practice balance :-)
Peace,
Susan

So, it is what it is.. I'm not down.. just soooooooo ready to get things started again... It's just weird though because i really haven't lost my focus.... i must be doing some things that are just not effective..
My surgery a couple months ago could have something to do with it... I did cardio again maybe 3 weeks out but it was light cardio.. I did heavy cardio probably at 5 weeks out... and I just started the strength training again at 8 weeks out.. My body could just be out of whack....
Something needs to Whack it Back!!!!
Plateau Finally Over!
Apr 17, 2010
well it seems i was at a plateau for well over two months. I seemed to gain and lose all within 5 pounds in these months. I just got back from vacation in AZ and surprisingly enough, I lost weight!..... Can you believe it? Loosing weight on vacation? Yup! My goal was to not gain any. So, here i am.. I continue to work out regularly. My diet could use some help. Although i have made many changes that are great, i still have some lingering bad habits. I still tend to overeat on the health foods. I'm not getting in enough water. And I am now a little over 1 week without the nightly popcorn but let me tell you , it's killing me! I miss my popcorn!!! I tend to do my best on the weekends now. Before the procedure i overate badly on weekends. Now, I hardly eat. It's during the week that gets me. I have a desk job and sit at my desk and eat frequently. I'll tell you its nothing like it used to be but it sure could use some improvement. So I know officially weigh less then I did 3.5 years ago!!! That feels great. My next goal is to get down to the weight I was In Junior High School. 26 more pounds. I hope to accomplish that goal over the summer.
All is good,

First Fill
Aug 26, 2009
Hey everyone,
Had my first fill yesterday.. Pretty uneventful.... except for the process of actually waiting to get in to see the Dr. I was there for over 2 hours yesterday for a 10 minute visit! Oh'well, it really didn't bother me. I'm just glad to get this process moving. I'm basically losing weight on my own at this point.. When I feel restriction, which probably wont be for another 3 months at least, that's when the band will start to work. Other wise, I'm bustin ass on my own at this point! No worries, i feel great. The weight is coming off very slowly. I am exercising every day. I'm up to walking 5 miles at a time and if I don't do 5 then I do at least 3.5. Walking does wonders for me mentally as well. I really do feel good.
So, that's the status of my situation at this point.. Wouldn't it be nice if I felt restriction on my 2nd fill? Not counting on it.
Peace,
Susan

Other than that, things are going well.. I'm back at work and actually walking 2 miles a day which is no small feat for me! I'm proud of the walking that I'm getting in.. The next step is the gym.
Oh, and my incisions have finally healed (after opening up after my staples were removed). The VNA no longer needs to come to my house to check on them.. They are fine. It's to bad that my stomach looks like the Bride of Frankenstein. Minor issue I guess. It's not important.
So, that's all for now. So glad I'm not where I was a month ago. 7 days in the hospital was a long time and the three weeks that followed while recovering where pretty intense as well. I wouldn't change it for anything, however I'm glad it's over with!
Bye for now,
Susan

I went for my pretesting (AGAIN) yesterday..... Everything seemed to go well... We shall see! I met with the Dr. as well. Like I said, everything went fine. Now to wait for the Big Day and to survive this weekend without gaining weight. I am SO ready for this!
Peace,
Susan
