OMG - I've gained 60# back total
Jan 24, 2011
Originally lost 120#.
Stuck in junk food routine:
McDonald's SugarFree Iced Coffee and strawberry banana smoothie for breafast
Taco Bell Beef Combo burrito w/extra cheese and diet soda for lunch
pizza or pasta or something like that for dinner
Ordered e-diets for a couple of weeks to break the cycle, but finding it unpalatable.
Why am I so unwilling to do what it takes to keep weight off?
Hopefully admitting what's going on will help me get some resolve.

Well, it's been 3 years since my surgery. I had initially lost 120# to a low of 234, but now I'm up to 261 and maintaining. I would like to drop another 100# but haven't yet been willing to do the work involved. I developed a hernia, so I have to have surgery to fix it. I don't hate myself any longer. I fit in the world much better and can buy clothes in a store instead of online. I don't deal with horrible arthritis or sleep apnea any longer. Headaches and stomach distress/heartburn is much better too. I'm very glad I had the surgery.

It's been just over two months and I've dropped from 332 to 287 since surgery. I keep fluctuating which may be due to my upcoming cycle. I'm not doing enough exercise to make the weight drop off quicker, but I feel I'm pushing myself as best I can.
I fight with depression and anxiety, and getting out to walk each day or even once a week has been beyond my ability at this point.
I wanted to talk to others about what foods they can eat at this point in the process. I HATED the pureed weeks -- that was too awful for words so I just stuck with the modified liquids longer. Now I'm venturing into wild territory and added some carbs and even enjoyed a cheese enchilada at a Mexican restaturant recently (even though I would have enjoyed it more if I took 1/2 home and only ate 1/2).
