WOW... Where did the time go?

So, I have a lot to share since I have not been on here in almost 2 years.  My last post stated that I had scheduled my last weigh-in for December 9, 2008.  I went and while talking to the Dr.  I told her that this pesky cough that I had had since we started 6 months prior, had not gone away yet.  So she says, "Well, let's do a chext x-ray, you're going to need one anyway before the surgery."  I'm like ok.  So we do the x-ray in her office, she comes back and says with tears in her eyes... "There is something there, Michelle."  So long story short, we cried together then I said... "Ok, what do I gotta do?" 

After a few rounds of tests and numours dr. visits, I found out in January 2009 that I had Hodgkin's Lymphoma.  I did 6 months of chemo therapy and 20 days of radiation. 

I went back and spoke with Dr. Antone after my stuff was done.  He told me I needed to be cleared for surgery from my oncologist, who said I needed to be 1 year out (being cancer-free). 

I have been looking into another surgeon.  I absolutly LOVE Dr. Antone, but I do not want to do the surgery open and Dr. Antone will not do the surgery laproscopicly.  So I met with Dr. Forse yesterday, he is kind of new here in Omaha (since 2008), he does the DS laproscopicly.  I enjoyed visiting with him and his staff is going to request what I have done already in prep. for my surgery and help get me back on track.

I have been visiting with my PCP for the last 3 months about my wieght, so that should help things go along smoothly.
