Cliff Diving

Today my liver-shrinking diet begins.  2 weeks until surgery.

Every step along the way, I have had at moment where it occurred to me that "Shit just got REAL," and today is no exception. 

I have a sensation as if I am about to dive from a cliff.  I am going to places I have never been before, and when I make this leap, I will never be able to return to the way things were before.  I have never experienced the things I'm about to experience, but I have the witness of those who have gone before to assure me and prepare me.  Still, my heart is pounding and my knees are knocking.

Here we go . . . into the air!  Making final preparations to earn my wings at Cliff Diving.
