I have been overweight for over half my life. then about 4 years ago I started having health problems because of my weight. I have been on so many diets, that you name it i have been on it. From weightWatchers to the cabbage soup diet and all of them in between. I have a BMI of 46.9 and i am currently at 283. My highest weight was 292. I started researching weightloss surgery 4 years ago. 2 years ago I had my Psych eval and Nutritional report, but my doctor wouldn't even discuss weightloss surgery with me. I gave up!. But now I am ready to fight for what I want out of life and getting this weight off is # 1 so I can get healthy again. I brought weightloss surgery up to my FNP and she said I need to look into it and let her know. I told her that I have done research on weightloss surgery for over 4 years. My FNP gave me some brochures to look at called me 12/1 to let me know that my chart has been given to the referral and they would be contacting me soon. I am so excited :-)
