Hey everyone, well its be like forever since I posted here. I was officially 4 months post opt on Sept 15th 2007. As of then I was down to a weight of 275 pounds which put me at 90 pounds lost so far!!!! As of todays post I am at 270 pounds so now I am down 95 pounds and still going.

As far as everything else, my heart palpitations have stopped and I was cleared by my cardiologist. They concluded that it was anxiety from the rapid weight loss. So no biggie. Now I just feel tired easily but it comes and goes throughout the day.

Other than that nothing new is going on per say as far as health concerns go. I will post my blog on here about ANTARCTICA!!!

Well, its been on heck of a week. I am have overwhelmed lately with all the info I need to grasp. Luckily I have the support of not only my friends here on OH but also here in Charlotte with friends and family. I am still a bit sore on my right side (where the surgeon made the biggest incision for the stapler) but I am for the most part doing great.

I walked 2 miles yesterday and just moving up and down stairs slowly today. The only real problem I am having is my side hurts when I lay down since i am normally a side sleeper. Sleeping on my back is not the most ideal way. Now in the comfy hospital bed I didn't care but in my room I do. HA.....I go for my 2 week follow up a week from.

It is still hard to believe I've done this and it is slowly sinking in. I look forward to actually stepping on the scale to see what results appear.

As a present to myself i have booked a cruise in Sept which is 5 months out and I am hoping to be anywhere from 75-100 pds lighter which will be awesome....=)

Well, last night I had my first hint of nervousness. I had a quick thought of "What if I don't wake up from surgery" but that quickly passed. I am still struggling a little with the liquid diet but nothing major. I have made some veggie soup. Basically you take V-8 juice and add all fresh veggies and it will fill you up and its fat free and calorie fre....I am finishing up my last day at work today and than from there I will be on leave for about 5 weeks post opt. Luckily it is covered under my Short Term Insurance and I don't have to dip into my vacation time.

Hey, well the time has finally come. I am scheduled for RNY surgery on May 15th at 7:30am here in Charlotte with Dr. Gersin. I have been on the liquid diet for about a week and a half and I must admit, it is easier and harder than I thought. I have had 1 slip up when I was working at the Wachovia Championship and was unable to bring my liquids in...But I am back on track now and I have already lost 15 pds in 1.5 weeks of this liquid diet. I am finally ready to get this surgery started. We hvae had many hurdles with my insurance company and the "Lack of documentation" CMC has been great and Dr. Gersins staff is really quick tor respond to anything you need.
