Here I am 15 years later, 110 lbs lighter and have never regretted having my surgery. I have gained almost 20 pounds but that was in the first two years and I am so comfortable I have never been serious about getting that back off. I would tell any one considering any weight loss surgery to really take advantage of those first 6-8 months and stay really strict with eating and exercise. After that is so much harder to lose. I ate a bite size snickers at 6 months on a road trip and have regretted it forever. It broke my will. Even though I still try to eat healthy and exercise, I occasionally fail. My health is better at 69 than it was when I had my surgery at 54. That was my goal.
