Jeffrey Johnsrud

"What was your first impression of him/her?rnHe is extremely HANDSOME!rnHow did your impression change over time? rnAlthough he is very athletic, handsome and has never had a weight problem himself, he is VERY caring and understanding of those who do.rnHow would you describe his/her office staff? rnOffice staff is friendly and on the ball!rnWhat did you like least about him/her?rnSometimes he runs late, so sometimes I waited.rnWhat should future patients know about him/her? rnHe follows through and is caring!rnHow much does he/she emphasize aftercare?rnHe totally emphasizes caring and MAKING changes to our personal lives so we can continue on the road to successful WL.rnDoes he/she have a structured aftercare program? rnI'm not very involved in the aftercare at the hospital, they do have support group meetings I've attended a few, but mostly I'm made drastic changes on my own to keep the weight off.rnHow did he/she address the risks of surgery? rnI didn't feel the risks were addressed much. But I didn't ask a lot about risks - I was too excited to get the surgery. I had MAJOR complications, not the surgeons fault. But the same surgeon and others at St. Joseph's helped me pull through. It was a scary experience but I made it!rnHow would you rate him/her overall? rnScale from 1-10, 10! I've referred others to him, a close friend had surgery by him and she's doing very well.rnWhich is better, surgical competence, bedside manner, or are both great?rnWell, Surgical Competence is a MUST, and bedside manner really helps make the process much nicer.rn"
