My name is Brent S., and I live in Lacey, Wa. and I had lap band surgery on january 18th 2007. I used to be 220 pounds of muscle and quite an athlete. Then at the age of 23 came the wife,kid and 130 pounds with it. Then came divorce,new wife and the realization at the ripe old age of 32 that I needed to do something so I could be around at least another 32 (hopefully its 52 or 62). I am 3 weeks in as I write this and am down almost 40 pounds in 3 weeks so I should be down to my goal in 3 or 4 more weeks. Just kidding. My wife Audra has also had the Band and is doing wonderful having lost over 50 pounds in less than 5 months. I figured it would be easier doing it together so we can motivate each other to not cheat and especially to exercise daily. If she hadn't done it first I probably would have been a weinie about it, but if she can do it so can I.
