Yes, I finally received a call from Dr. Krahn's office and I am approved, I was so happy, I laughed, cried, cried and laughed.  I was completely full with emotions.  I just hugged my husband so tight, I was crying but he didnt know whether I was crying or laughing.  The first thought that came to my mind was, I am finally going to be skinny. I have felt the heartache of so many different things from being obese,(I hate that word).  I will be able to be a better example for my daughter, not just talk the talk, but now she can look at me and see for herself.  I know I will be free, I have so many things I want to do, but because of my weight, I always was the quiet one in the room or group.   

10-4-07  Today is my 1st   appointment.  I am very excited to see what happens from here.  
I am back from my Dr. appointment.  I met with Dr. Krahn, he started me on protein shakes and 1 meal for dinner.  When I went in, I was unsure on which WLS would be best for me.  After Dr. Krahn explained both surgeries, I felt RNy would be best for me.  I feel comfortable with my decision, and I can not wait.  Dr. Krahn needs me to have 3 more test,  a medical clearance and then my surgery will be scheduled.    

10-14-07 Today is the 12th day I have been on the protein shake diet, I have lost 9lbs.  I am so happy, I can not wait until the big lbs come off!!! This Friday I have chest xray, upper gi, and ultrasound of gallbladder, and then my Medical Clearance is scheduled for the following week.  Dr. Krahn's office said my surgery should be sometime in November.  10-19-07
Well today I had the 3 procedures.  The worst was upper gi, omg, I thought for sure I was gonna loose it, when I had to drink that nasty stuff.  The whole time I just kept thinking, this is for a good reason, but that taste of it was soooooo GROOOOOSE!! Anyway it is over, just waiting on results then I have to get my medical clearance.  YAY!!! I AM ONE STEP CLOSER!!!!
10-21-07  Today I went to my Doctor for my Medical Clearance.  I did find out that I have gall stones.  The EKG and Chest Xray is good. Just waiting on Upper gi results.  Going first thing in the morning to have more blood taken.  I guess now I am waiting for surgeon to receive all results, and then Final insurance approval.  This is going really fast now, everything is done and just the waiting game again.
10-25-07  I am still waiting for Dr office to call me for my next appointment.  :(  I am so impatient, but it has taken me this long so I guess I can wait a little longer.
10-31-07  I am still waiting, so I called Dr. Krahn's office and at first  I spoke to someone who told me to call back after 1pm, and I should have my answer, so I waited a little longer and called at 3pm, whoever I spoke to said that the nurse I needed to talk to to has been sick for the past few days and she should be in tomorrow.  Why could'nt she just tell me that the first time I called.  So she told me to try and call back on Monday.  So jokingly I said okay well I will not call and bother you again until Monday, and she said OK.  WHAT?!!!  Hmm I am not the happiest person right now, but I have waited this long, once again.
