Happy Veteran's Day. I have a father, grandfather, great aunt, uncle, and three cousins who have served or are serving in the armed forces. I want to thank any veteran or person who's supported a veteran so that they can do their jobs. It's because of these folks that we are free today.
I'm still waiting for my approval. I had my surgery consult on 10/31/06. I've delayed things a little bit because my employer is changing our insurance from BC/BS to United as of January 1, 2007. Foundation Bariatrics is out of network for all insurances, so I don't know that it matters. I hope to talk with Kim (finance) or Stephanie (patient advocate) this week because I'm scheduled for my referral consults (Nurse Practioner, diet/exercise, psych) for the 17th. I also need to get my sleep study, EKG, labs, etc. I'm unsure how much to have done on this insurance. I can't get the surgery until the last week in March, which is when my mother can take vacation from her work to come stay with us. My DH can't stay off work. Also, I can't get this kind of time off from my work during the holidays. Ah well, it'll all get figured out. I'm confident the folks at FBH can get it straightened away!
