where do I begin...

not at the beginning, as that would be far too long ago.....
A few months ago I asked the hubby if he would consider doing wls if I did it. Was shocked he said yes. We went to a wls seminar, and then the research job was mine...which now I do practically daily, mostly consisting of ready OH posts.
I have finished all my tests, hubby is almost done. I was very confident about going through with the surgery....up until the last test. then I start to worry...am I doing the right thing..is it going to work (meaning, am *I* going to make it work). Talked to the coordinator today...due to insurance requirements, it's not going to happen until at least January. Whew. So now I'm relaxed again, knowing it's not going to happen sooner than I thought. Whew again
I really want to lose a few lbs before, and definitely want to start 'acting as if' it's already happened...exercise, protein drinks, chewing, sipping, etc. Most important, get my head in the right frame of mind.
Hubby, of course, just wants to know when/where/etc. The facts Ma'am, just the facts.
Jan 26 - I've been approved! and hubby...not. strange, since he needs it more, and has co morbidities. but I don't think the co ordinator put those in for him...she knew I was to go first. however, due to a sudden medical issue, I had to have other surgery done. it's not the surgery that is an issue, it's the anesthesia, which was general. how long do I have to wait until ...LOL, as I'm typing this, I get a call from the coordinator....and I've got a date!!! March 5.... yikes!
Feb 19 - it's "am I doing the right thing" panic time....this week it's pre op testing...blood work and ekg. I am going through the motions, but still not 'real'. started this back in June or July....thought it would never get here. now just 2 weeks away. wow.
