Life is way to much fun not to participate!

I guess in one phrase that is why I chose to have WLS.  I was having problems getting around and doing the things I enjoyed doing.  I was also being warned by my PCP that I was headed for a major heart attack or stroke if I didn't change some things.  It was still a difficult and stressful decision to have this surgery.  I started the process in July and got my approval for surgery on October the 6th.  I had my surgery on November 13, 2006.  It was the start of lots of things.

One, no blood pressure meds since that day.  The wonderful part is my blood pressure is normal!!

Two, I  have the ability again to be physically active.  Today I walked the distance of a 5K in under an hour.  I am amazed!!

Three, my DH thinks I am looking sexy again.  He has been one of my biggest cheerleaders!  I have been blessed with supportive people in my life, but he has had faith the this was going to be a wonderful thing from the day I started.

Four, I feel like the me I used to be.  That is weird to say, but so good!

I am almost 5 months out right now and have lost 70 lbs.  I am thrilled and amazed and frighted every day that I won't loose another pound.  The changes are great though!
