Coming up on my year anniversary since WLS

Sep 09, 2009

I am 11 months out and it has been very hard to reach my goal but I have  with determination and dedication. I still have a month till my anv. day. I org.  wanted to loose 100lbs in one year and I have done it.  I have lost 103 lbs in 11 months-WOW. My goal now is to loose 40 more and then maintain for life.  I went from a size 32, to a size 18, my goal it to be a size 12 for my height of 5'10' and then that is okay with me.

It has not been easy nor have I always been strict, but I still have done it.  I do enjoy some foods that I use to eat from time to time, however I have found that my change in life eating habits draws me back to the raw, unprocessed healthy foods. I actually crave fruits, fiber, vegs, and certain items.  I could eat salsa every day.  I do not miss my breads, nor diet cokes, which I thought would be impossible.  I loved BRead, pasta, adn soda. I stopped exercising during the summer months to do yard work, swimming,  and other stuff that comes with summer.  I had to travel alot with my job, causing obsticles for food, routines adn so on, but I did loose  a litlle during this time.  I am back on track and lost 5 pounds this week, since I started back to the gym.

I encourage all of you to keep faith, start today if you find you are drifitng, don't let yesterday keep you down.

I am going to the NY conference and anxious to meet Dr. GArth Davis. ANyone form VA. going?

The road has been long and hard.  But I am now 75lbs lighter in 4 1/2 months.  My daughter is 56 lbs lighter in 3 months.  We feel 100% better with energy.  However it is very hard and committed for us.  EW feel that we have to take advantage of this 6 month window people talk about to loose the most weight.  So keep in mind that nothing is easy and if it was we would not have needed this surgery to help us in our life journey of becoming healthy and living longer.

Just an update on my Weight loss.  I cannot get the ticker to work nor can I post an avatar picture, somethings just won't work.  BUt I am down 60lbs, but each day is work.  I am enjoying foods that I use to not want to eat.  But I do miss some that I loved.  However I really enjoy how I feel and how much lighter I am to move around.  I can see changes in my "fat ladies" world.  I can now fit in some chairs comfortably, cross my legs, bend over more easily, and so on.  It is a very nice feeling to say the least.  My helath issues are disappearing and/or coming down.  So I am very happy for this.  I do suffer from neuropathy daily and some arthritis, but weighing 60lbs less makes for a better day in my neighborhood.

I am looking for people that like to share info. from time to time to support our goal of being thinner healthier people.
