Today I'm 5 weeks and 5 days post-op VSG. I started at 291 lbs and I'm currently weighing in at 256.1 lbs. my goal is to reach 150 lbs. My surgery was done on 7/31/2021. So far it hasn't been that rough, though, I'm still working on what I can and cannot eat. According to the schedule given to me by my nutritionist I should be able to start eating soft lean proteins. However, it seems like I end up throwing up anytime I eat anything solid. So I'm back tracking to puréed foods for a while longer. I'm hoping that this will allow my stomach more time to heal allowing me to tolerate foods better. I'm new to this site. It was recommended by a friend who had surgery a few years back. I hope it will be as helpful to me as it was for her.
