Had my lap band 3/18/2008

I had my lap band with Dr Frank Veninga on 3/18/2008!! I was very nervous!! I was wondering the whole time if I was making the right choice. I was not suppose to be there until 11:45am ( I was his 5th cs that day) and we arrived a bit early about 1hr early. But I waited patiently and then I was called back to get ready. I had to change my clothes and pee in the cup and then they started my IV and then they let my husband come back. I wanted to pull the Iv and everything and go home. That's what I was thinking anyway. And then I told my husband good bye and then I was waking up about 4:30 pm and it was done. Over - I am banded for life. I did it!!
3/19/2008-
I have been doing fine today. I did have some major pain in my left shoulder that I had my husband call about. It felt like I assume a heart attack. I cried like a baby. I had walked twice today around the neighborhood. They is what may have stirred the gas up......I did pass alot. I am sure I will pass more later.
3/20/2008-
I passed alot of gas during the night. I got up out of bed by myself without the help of my husband. which is good, because he goes back to work tomorrow. I go back Monday. I am nervous about. I am sure I will do fine.
I am going to go for a walk when I get done updating this. I received alot of great advice on the OH board and believe me I am going to be taking that advice!!
