I've had an empty band for a month and a half. Tomorrow I go back in to have it filled again. I'm excited for that. This past week I've started getting kind of hungry between meals. But overall I haven't had any problems. Its nice to know that I have some self disciple and have put in to place good eating habits that maintain through an unfill. yay! I think I've gained 3 lbs. which I feel great about. I didn't eat any breads or high calorie foods ~ it just felt good to be doing the right thing. So back to reality tomorrow and looking forward to it!!!

I need to get on here more often. Everytime I do I enjoy reading the uplifting stories and seeing how everyone is doing...but i never seem to find the time. Hopefully everyone is doing great! I've lost 96 pounds now and I'm a size 6. Which blows me away since I was a size  when I got married almost 20 years ago. I love my life. It's been an amazing journey and I'd do it all over again if I had the choice. EVERYTHING about my days have changed. I have energy, I want to get out of bed, I love to go places and especially shopping for new clothes (which I have to limit a little). I hope everyone is loving their new lives too! ENJOY!

I was having surgery!!!! And it has been one of the best years of my life! I am so thankful that I made the decision to get a lap band. My life has changed in so many positive ways. I can't wait to reach my goal weight - just 20 more pounds to go! The weight loss has slowed dramatically but I don't care...its amazing that I'm where I am. I am so happy to be active and healthy - I'm just smiling all the time! heehee

I can't believe my last post was June 4th!!! Oh my gosh. I love summer...it was the best one I can remember having for YEARS! I swam in a swim suit, wore shorts and tank tops, went boating, camping and hiking - and all of it comfortably!!!! It was awesome! I'm a size 10 now! I love to go shopping. I've even had to buy new shoes. I used to wear a size 10 and now they are 9 or 91/2. So funny!

I've needed a fill for about 2 months. My doctor moved to a new hospital so I had to wait so I could follow him. (insurance reasons) Anyway, I see him on Monday and I can't wait! My 1 year is on the 3rd...yeh!!!!! So good to be back on here! I will definately be on more now that the sunshine is gone and I'm in the house more!

Last night I told my husband that I had to have new pants!!! I have one pair that kind of fits and then some shorts...but once in awhile I need a pair of pants. So I took size 14's in the dressing room and thought 'huh those are kind of loose'. So I tried on size 12...and they fit great!!! My husband said 'try on size 10 and see how far you are from that size'. So I did and I got them on!!! (A little too tight for my liking though) so I bought the size 12's and I am so happy...I just couldn't beleive it all the way home! It blows my mind that maybe in a month I will wear a size 10!!! WOW!

This is the day that I've waited for for sooooo long! I weigh under 200lbs and I'm so happy that I'm crying. I am just overwhelmed by all that has happened over the past year - preparing for surgery, waiting for surgery, surgery and now today - its overwhelming. Last week I had my six month check up and my doctor and I discussed a goal weight. He thinks 160 is more realistic than 150 - so I may change it on my ticker. If I change it I have 39 more pounds to go!!! WOW!!! Unbelievable!!! Thank you all for being here and reading this...after I shared the news with my husband I ran downstairs to share it with you all! Its so awesome to have people to share these things with.

I love to garden and do yard work. (I know I'm weird, at least my husband says I am.) Anyway, for YEARS AND YEARS I haven't been able to enjoy something that I really love to do. Today I spent 4 hours out in the yard; mowing, pulling weeds, watering plants and having the time of my life! I planted tomatoes, cucumbers and raspberries plants, too. Life is SOOOO good for the first time in a long time! 

Today I am half way to goal AND I weigh less than my husband - all on the same day!!!! This is awesome! Just had to share my good news with you all!

Appartently my husband lost me in Costco yesterday. Here's the deal...he went up and down a couple of isles and passed me...he didn't know if was me from the back!!! It was hilarious! He was laughing, I was laughing and I'm sure everyone around us thought we were nuts!! I am glad to have some place to share these funny yet very satisfying little victories!!! 

I can't believe that in one month I will be going for my 6 month check up and having new pictures taken! Wow what a fast few months it has been. As of last night I've lost 53 pounds and yesterday was my 5 month band anniversary. I am happy to say that I feel better inside and out than I have in years - I'm looking forward to summer, riding bikes with my kids, boating and camping - and doing all of those things comfortably!!! Can't even beleive its actually going to happen!!!
