HAvent posted in a bit. Must say the time flies after you have had your surgery. I finally did it, I broke 199! Feels so good to be under 200 and know you will never go there again. Recovery has been fantastic. Why did I wait so long to do this? I love the restricion it puts on me by making me so full after small amounts. It is nice to know I can eat just about anything just in smaller amounts. I wonder where I will be at Christmas time? I feel so much better it is unbelieveable. Hubby has had his surgery and is doing fantastic. Nice being in it together.

Went and worked out today. I did 10 minutes on treadmill and then did a light set of weights, then another 10 minutes on the treadmill. But I must say, it took some pushing to do it. But I want to be back in shape before I go back to work as I am on my feet all day long. So I will go at least 3 times a week with this routine for now. I was down to 217, that is amazing. The lowest I have been since hubby and I get married was 208 so anything below that is my first mini goal. Yesterday I actually felt hunger. I wanted food, real food, not another puree. I did end up eatting some tuna and felt much better. There are times when I still think gosh will I ever really be thinner, say under 175? Still hard to believe it might really happen. I guess time will tell. Hubbys surgery is now only 2 weeks away. I am excited for him because he is so excited. I am so thankful that we are doing this together, you just dont know. He is my soul mate. Do not know what I would ever do without him. Anyway, that is all for today.

How fast

How does time go by so fast? Just one week ago I was coming out of surgery wondering if I made the right decision and poof, here it is a week later, I feel FANTASTIC!  I am so glad I have done this. It has been fairly easy adjusting to the new way of feeling and looking at food so far. Head hunger at times for sure, but it is interesting not to feel true hunger.  Well now only 3 weeks till hubby has his and I pray it goes as well as mine has. He is anxious to get in and get it over with and get on the loosers bench. I go to the doctor tomorow, guess we will see what has happened in the past week....

Ok, well tommorow is the big day. Can not believe it is finally here. I have been in the process of getting an RNY for a year and a half. I started the process, then our insurance changed and had to start the process all over again. Now, tommorow 7-9-08 is the big day. The start of a new life. I am diabetic and hope to be able to put the diabetes on the back burner. I am hoping this tool will help me to have a better relationship with food. I am glad that my husband will be going through this with me. He will be having his surgery in 4 weeks. On to a new way of life!
