Well, as of today 6/28/09 I have completed my evaluations (doctor, dietary, psychological) and have met with the insurance guy and got him all the required insurance information that I could possibly conjure up. I did my psychological evaluation last Wednesday so I am waiting to figure out what the next step is (although I know what it is because I have the list, but I want to hear it out of their mouths, lol) I know the next step is to submit my information to my insurance company and while I am waiting on approval my surgeon and OSU requires me to take 4 weeks of classes on how to eat post op. Once I have approval I am then scheduled to meet with my surgeon (Dr. Mikami) and that day I guess I will get a surgery date.I keep having these "what ifs." What if insurance doesn't approve me? What if I didn't get them all the correct information? What if they never received it? What if I have complications? What if my paperwork gets lost in the shuffle? I am sure many of you have experienced this as well. Anyways, I am going to call them tomorrow (they are closed today) and see what they say...fingers crossed that everything goes as smoothly as I hope it will.
