This has been an experience I will never forget
Nov 13, 2010
Let me tell you that this has been an experience I will never forget. Surgery was Oct 25th and everything went well as we thought. Got home Oct 29th. The weekend went ok but found that I was running a low grade fever and eating was not going so well. Had pain everytime I tried to eat. On Tuesday Nov 2 , I was in the ER at Baptist. Xray showed Pneumonia in my left lung and after drinking contrast for a CT scan showed..1. the contrast was in my old stomach...REALLY! and 2. Apparently the doctor missed a stapleline. I was so angry!!!! I spend the next 7 days back in the hosptial with a drain tube in my lung. I had a EDG scope done to verify yes that there is an opening in my old stomach..GREAT! I got home this past Monday and still breathing is difficult but getting better. Now I just sitting here thinking what in the world has happened to me. What is going on... Doctor Lynch does not want to operate again to fix the mistake until I lose more weight....But will I..with things going to my old stomach..Very frustrated..pissed off and not sure what to do.
