I am 52 years old, Mom of 3, and wife to1 dear man.   I am blessed to have this lovely family; it's a second marriage for both of us and I am grateful to God for second chances.   My children are 15 (dd), 13 (dd) and 10 (ds).  We are homeschooling and I'm grateful for the time we have together. We are involved in tons of activities;  homeschooling opportunities, sports, Bible study and music.  I have always been very active and have continued to be even during this weight gain; but I've been slowing down and have found it difficult (if not impossible) to do the activities I so much enjoy.  After much research, prayer, wrestling and surrendering, I am scheduled for VSG on May 6th.  My 13 year old daughter will be accompanying me to Mexico.  She is excited about being stuck in a hospital room (in Mexico) for two days.   My favorite activities include gardening, reading and Bible study.  Favorite activities that I am looking forward to doing AGAIN include hiking, camping, motorcycling, racquetball, bicycling and horsebackriding.  That's why I am doing this.  Oh, also for health reasons.  I was diagnosed w/ severe sleep apnea about 40 pounds ago.  The apnea sometimes triggers SVT (rapid heart beat) - expecially in high altitudes)   I don't like this and I want to be as healthy and active as I can, for myself and my family.  I want to be available to God and able to do what He calls me to do.
