4 WKS Post-op
Nov 10, 2011
Well, Nov 8th I was officially 4 wks post-op. I was really starting to mentally struggle over the food. I was getting full physically but not satisfied mentally.I was eating to fast hence, too much as well. Because of this, I encountered my first experience with a phenomena called the slimies. I've never experienced anything quite like it before now.
So, since Tuesday I have been able to start incorporating vegetables back into my diet. I actually started to feel better mentally. I felt as though I was actually eating a meal. My longing for fast food has subsided drastically. I also dropped 4lbs since I started eating my broccoli and cabbage again.
I know I am suppose to make sure I get my protein in first but, something about eating these 2 veggies especially not only mentally satisfies me, it also encourages the weight loss since it burns more calories digesting them than what I'm actually consuming.
Don't get me wrong, I still eat my 2 bites of lean protein to my 1 bite of veggie. I do believe it's very important to try to follow my surgeon and nutritionists advice to have the best weight loss possible.
Lord knows I have a long way to go! I still have 128lbs to lose. I don't want to be the typical "you'll only lose about 70% of your excess body weight." I know it doesn't have to be that way. I know if I put the work into it, I can reach goal. I miss being 150lbs. So, even though I've lost 59 lbs, I still have a long way to go baby! But, I'm up for the challenge. What else do I have better to do with my time than get healthier and happier?
