"My original visit was for sleep apnea. I saw MD once and was then turned over to techs for the sleep study and CPAP titration. NEVER heard from Troyer. Several years later I returned to him for possible CPAP titration adjustment and he was vile to me! Whereas I found him arrogant the first time I met him, he was downright rude and condescending the last time. I will NEVER see him again! I requested a copy of his report and discovered he falsified the report. He spent the whole time berating me for not coming in more often and for being fat, and the only exam I received was a flashlight exam of my skin to check for skin problems from CPAP. The report listed various physical examinations and results THAT HE NEVER PERFORMED! "
"I attended seminar and was mightily impressed (even though he dis'd my girl Oprah). I made an appointment and my husband and I met with him. What struck me the most (besides his obvious knowledge) was how passionate he was about the procedure. I felt he truly believes in this surgery (RNY). rnrnJust want to add that after much research and soul searching I decided the DS was a better surgery for me. I approached Dr. Oakley with my reasons and he agreed. He is more than willing to do DS for me, but made it clear that it put more of the burden on me to succeed than the RNY would. "
