Well, as you can tell I am very bad at keeping this up to date. It's been almost 11 months now and I have lost 116lbs. I feel great and have more energy than I've had in years. The only regret is that I didn't do this sooner....I have hit a plateau, which has lasted me 3 months. I don't quite understand it because I've remained pretty diligent in my efforts to lose weight and have even increased the amount of exercise I get. My personal goal weight is 180 lbs but it seems like these last 50 lbs are going to be an uphill battle. Wish me luck.

Well, I'm 3 months post op and feeling great. I've lost 68 lbs though it seems very slow to me. When I think of how much weight that is I am amazed in such a short time; however, my road is still long. I am optimistic about the future and am enjoying my new found feedoms. I no longer worry about fitting in the chairs, (although I haven't had to get on a plane, which would still concern me) I can now cross my legs somewhat, and all of my clothes are either too big or fitting just right for a change. Things are looking good......so I started at 348 and today I fluctuate between 278 and 280......I'm on my way........

Well hello.

I am so upset. i just typed my little heart out to you all....and lost everything I wrote...........so in a nutshell I will try to paraphrase.

Thank you for all the inspirational messages and support you people are showing to each other and those of us who are reading them. You just never know how many people you are touching with your stories.


I did go on to discuss all of my journey thus far, but simply do not have the time tonight to type it all up again. So sorry but I would love to share this with you all at another time. I am currently waiting for surgery, which has been scheduled for the 23rd of May. It will have been a 14 month journey. I am excited and nervous and praying that everything goes as planned.
