I have to be at the hospital at 6:15 am and have an hour and a half drive to get there.......I'm a wreck, my nerves are shot...but I'm glad it's finally here and going to be done and over with.....I am going to be in the hospital from 3-5 days....so I guess I'll see ya'all on the LOSING SIDE!!! WOOHOO!!

I went to my primary doc this morning and according to the scales there I have already lost a total of 26.7 pounds pre-surgery following a modified gastric bypass meal plan that the Dietician at GRMC started me on......really got me stoked and looking forward to the post-surgery weight loss !!! 

Well, only 32 days to go to surgery. It seems like forever still, but things are moving quickly. I go this Thursday for my Education Day at GRMC. I have really been trying to remember to CHEW, CHEW, CHEW my food and to sip my liquids. I have also been trying to follow a modified gastric bypass meal plan with higher protien foods and smaller portions 6 times a day and that is going good as well. I am learning to take it day by day. Anyway, I hope that everyone's Memorial Day Weekend is safe and happy.

June 27th is the day.....I am at day 55 of NOT smoking...........

Hard to believe it's been a month since I posted last.  I have went through the psych eval and am now awaiting insurance approval. Today is day 49 smoke free..........

Hello everyone. I'm starting the journey to having weight loss surgery. I have been smoke free for 3 weeks (21 days) !! That was a BIG step for me to take. I am also attending a support group of OA and have started counseling. I want to meet others who are working toward surgery and also those who have had weight loss surgery.
