Ok Here goes nothing...I am currently 27 years old and am awaiting the big OK from Cigna Ins. from there i am ready to go hopefully by the end of this year..
A little about me: I wasn't a heavy kid but def a lil chunkier in highschool. When I was 17 my mother informed me that I was too big and took me to a weight loss facility. No not a gym a Dr. who put me on Phentermine(weight loss pill). I did lose around 35 lbs putting me at 135. I loved it but soon after that mom and I just didn't get along so well so I decided to move out on my own at 18. I also started college and held down a full time job. This became super stressful and tiresome and due to the fact that I had absoluely no money I didnt eat right and was on Depo Provera. I started to gain a lil weight but not real bad then I got a Pilonidal Cyst on my tailbone. This had to be the worst pain ever. I couldn't sit stand walk ..nothing..I finally got it lanced and had relief only to have it come back repeatedly..Due to this I had to quit school and focus on work. From there things just went down hill. I continued to gain from not being as active as I once was but I couldnt bc my tailbone would swell up..Years later I developed cysts on my ovaries. and big ones too..so into surgery I went. Only to find out months later that i have PCOS. YAY more problems. Granted I dont have as many co-morbities as some others but I sure do have my fair share of pain do to being obese. I am currently up to 280. Yikes I packed on 10 more pounds by quitting smoking..but Id rather not smoke at this point I will deal with those pounds soon enough. I am more than happy to be here and I thoroughly enjoy everyones experiences. Most of my family has passed and my mother would rather wait til she has a thin daughter to have any interest in my life so I get alot of encouragement from reading how well everyone else is doing. Keep up the good work and keep posting your progess...Be proud of what u have accomplished and tell the world bc u just never know when u just might be the inspiration to someone else!!!!!
