But Dr. Bauman expressed a genuine interest in me, why I wanted surgery, my history and how I came to be in his office. I realized about five minutes in that he was evaluating me very carefully to make sure I was informed, had read the materials provided and was ready to make a comittment. So he had some tough, searching questions for me. They follow up with you for a year, all of which is included in the surgery fee. The nutritionists gave me easy-to-follow guidelines and referred me to several places where I could shop for supplements and supplies.
