Consultation TODAY!

I am so very excited! I will be having my consultation with the surgeon today -- in a little more than 12 hours from now. The last time that I was able to do this was on my birthday in 2008. Almost ten years ago! It's been a very long time since I sat down and talked with this man, to discuss what I would like to do and what I need to accomplish. 

So much has happened in those ten years! My body has betrayed me in even more ways than before. I am needing a knee REPLACEMENT because of injuries sustained last year that escalated the time table from around ten years to less than two.   I know that this will be something that can really help me - maybe even postpone the knee replacement? Who knows?! I'd rather do the bariatric surgery than the knee replacement. Especially if it will help with other co-morbidities as well...

I'll be back to post my feelings after the meeting with Doctor Lahmann!! I am so excited and nervous that I don't know if I'll be able to get much sleep. My body is all jittery and restless.
