Hi everyone, please stop my support page and let me know you were here. You guys are my support. Hope all of you the best of luck.
I have been overweight most of my life. My pre-op weight was 250 lbs. I have had asthma since I was three. I was sick alot during my elementary years with it. The medicines I was on did not help my weight. I was very active, mostly a tomboy growing up. I grew up in a neighborhood with one other girl and the rest boys, so it was keep up with them and I could. My moms side of the family has some weight issues which I take after my Grandmother all the way.

I read lots of articles on stomach stapling since me and my husband have together, so I have researched it for about 9 years before I had surgery. What finally got me to go to the doctor was the article on Carnie Wilson.

I had surgery on July 2, 2001. I had the BPD/DS, I lost 110 lbs in appoximately 9-10 months I made goal.

I had a breast reduction in November of 1998 and it was awesome. I went from 44 DDD(E) to a B cup. Then I lost the weight and went down to an A cup and smaller, basically flat lined . LOL.

I was really sick at 2 & 3 months post-op. I vomited all the time, it did not matter what I eat it came up. I worked on at Albertsons Bakery for 10 years, can you imagine being around being around all that sweet stuff. At least with the DS you don't have the dumping symdrome.

I had my Tummy Tuck on February 14, 2003. What a Valentines Day being stuck in the hospital.

November 2003, I had to have a exploratory tummy suregery to find out why my tummy tuck incision was not healing properly by my navel. This was done with local anesthetic. OMG I still felt the pain and just knowing she was cutting on my belly made me sick. The one assistant nurse was rubbing my head and talking to me while this was happening, Not something I want to have done again.

February 2004, well guess what, I had to have that exploratory tummy surgery again, my incision reopened. SHe told me my body was reacting to the mess they use for the Tummy Tuck. I had surgery to have it taken out, but this time I went under so I felt no pain. She is an awesome doctor and I would go back to her again. Note, she did my breast reduction in 1998 also.

I have had a rough 2004. My mom got diagnosed with cancer and I started taking care of her and traveling 90 miles M-F for treatment. While trying to get her to stay as healthy as I could we ate out a lot for lunch and when I fed her, I ate also out of the restaurant. I have gained about 30 lbs in the last year. I lost her in October 2004.

I am determined to lose at least 15 of these 30 lbs. I am almost 4 years out and I read in the message boards at other people who have gained quite a bit of weight also.

August 2005, I had bowel obstruction surgery August 11th. I was told it would be overnight, well 5 days later I went home. I really think that was worse than Gastric Bypass. I had an incision from my breastbone to my pubic line, thats twice the size from the bypass. So you can imagine the pain.

Well I am still depressed about this weight gain. This morning my husband asked me how far I am from my starting weight before surgery, I was very upset about him asking that. He tells me look at everything you went through to lose weight and now gaining it back. I have been sick alot since I had gastric bypass. I can eat mostly anything except for beef, I can eat hamburger but the rest usually will come back up. I think its the texture, because I can feel it just sitting there.

I bought a TAE-BO video and am going to try it. I had some of the others before surgery and OMG I couldn't hardly walk the next day I hurt so bad. I guess its time to get back walking the dogs too they could shed a few pounds also (hahaha).

I started taking iron infusions today, it was not bad. Just an IV with iron flowing thru it. I get to do these for twelve weeks. My iron is so low, ferritin is a 2. My prescription iron I am not absorbing. At least I get a chance for some ME TIME in peace. LOL.

Dec.2, 2006

Well we had a good Thanksgiving and I didn't gain no weight,YEAHHHHHHHH!  Been real busy around my house the last few weeks.  My father-in-law passed away Nov. 9th.   Also my dad have been having stints put in his heart twice in two weeks.  It has been cold working outside in the snow and rain.  My mother-in-law gave me a new pair of insulated coveralls, what a help those are. I have lost 10 pounds since I quit drinking the soda pop, but I have one occassionally.  Maybe I get the rest off I have gained.  My son broke his leg Oct. 7th and is doing fairly well.  He gets to walk on it this next week.
