"Laproscopic Rou-n-y 12-10-03. Doctor Gibbs is fantastic. The whole process went great. Carrie who is Dr Gibb's surgical nurse also was very helpful and I am sure will continue to be with follow ups. Dr Gibbs by far emphasizes aftercare. The gastric bypass surgery is only a tool to get you where you need to go. He went through all of the possible side effects and risks of surgery with me and also asked me many questions about was I willing to do everything needed before we did the surgery. I was not only seen by Dr Gibbs after the surgery, but was checked on by the resident doctor on three seperate occasions before I went home. Dr Gibbs at my pre-meeting gave me instructions on what I needed to do after surgery to go home and not have serious complications. Example: walking- having a BM- etc. The nurses told me after I had surgery that they would bring me a bed pan instead of getting up the first day of surgery-- I said no-- I was going to walk- Everything for me went GREAT!"
