I've had weight issues for most of my life - and I attempted to have WLS 2 years ago only to have my PCP screw it up. She didn't document her records correctly so insurance denied my application. I did everything correctly but never dreamed that I would have to
double check my own doctor after I had given her the paperwork that showed what was required. {SIGH}
SO here I am going through the process again - with a new doctor that is making sure we do everything correctly this time!

I had my surgery with Dr. Robert Davis in Houston on May 11, 2010. Surgery itself was  breeze but I'm always the odd person out. So  sometime during surgery I developed a pneumothorax and my lung collapsed. Did not help that no on caught it for almost 24 hours.  Here I was trying to get out of bed to walk and I could barely say my name and breathe at the same time.
My overnight stay turned into a 4 night 5 day hospital vacation (not)!

So it's been a rocky start but I'm seeing the weight come off quickly. It's a struggle to get in protein and water at this point and I love drinking water too.  Hoping I find more ways to increase my protein intake.
