My name is Theresa Snow, I was a severe diabetic an on an insulin pump. On Dec.2, 2009 I had gastro bybass RNYsurgery. On the day of surgery I weighted 307. Today is Jan. 4, 2009 and I weigh 267, that is 40 lbs. lost. I am no longer on the insulin pump, and have to take little insulin at this time. On top of the weight loss, the day before surgery I stopped smoking. Of course my doctor told me to stop long before, however I still smoked until the day before my surgery. I have not had a cig since that day, making this surgery a double health boost for me. I am a single mother of an 8 year old little girl, and I just wanted to live a long life to see her grow up, and I am on my way.
